JOB PURPOSE: A thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping the people to develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Responsible for all tax planning and strategic approach, providing ideas and ways to the business growth as a business partner, through the tax perspective, by developing, implementing, managing and defending company’s tax strategies, global direct and indirect tax compliance, and financial tax reporting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals for the company’s growth. • Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals. • Mentor company’s tax professionals and ensure expertise and talent succession plan is in place. • Recruit, on board, and train high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives. • Maintains effective working relationships with outside contacts including the Internal Revenue Service, outside attorneys, public accountants, and government officials. • To forecast and develop sales plan. • Design and develop sales strategy, policies and set targets for sale team. • Identify, evaluate and consult with tax advisors to best position the company with respect to tax planning strategies. • Ensure corporate tax policies and procedures support company’s governance and business objectives. • Partner with accounting/finance and business personnel to identify and implement tax planning opportunities. • Ensure the corporation maintains up-to-date tax expertise and awareness of federal, state and international tax laws and their impact on the company. • Direct the employee assessment process. •Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans. • Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures • Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values •Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved. • Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivated work environment, and creating innovative approaches for improvement. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • Minimum Experience: Min 8+years’ experience in handling business operation, accounting, taxation since 4years in UAE market Or in similar role/industry. • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in finance / Accounting / Business Management and VAT GCC certificate is more preferable.
Desired Candidate Profile
Desired Skills & Competencies: • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) – Arabic in addition preferred • Strong in Business Operations, Accounting, Taxation / Certified GCC VAT Consultant. • In-Depth knowledge of International standards (IFRS and IAS) • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and an ERP system (preferable Microsoft Dynamics) • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns • Strong analytical ability • Decision Making skills • Strong leadership skills (Coaching and mentorship) • Good Knowledge of different business functions • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills • Good knowledge of applicable local rules and regulations
