We’re are in search for Commis Chef to join our talented team for new upcoming concept.
Required 1-2 years experience working in a kitchen or someone newly graduated from culinary school.
This person needs to be able to follow a recipe and have an understanding of restaurant safety and hygiene.
In addition, they would require a knowledge of restaurant equipment and stock control and rotation procedures.
Working as a commis chef involves learning a lot of different skills in a short amount of time and then practicing those skills by implementing them throughout the kitchen.
The most successful commis chefs are fast learners who actively develop their skills and are not afraid to ask senior chefs as many questions as necessary.
Constantly works at enhancing the dining experience for guests Is comfortable taking instruction from senior chefs
Communicates in a manner in which all understand
Contributes to effective teamwork between the kitchen staff
Willingness to increase knowledge and experience by listening to senior chefs
This person has a general understanding of kitchen operations
Self management and self motivation
Work with other sections when instructed to assist pressurised times
This person is accountable to the Chef de partie for the smooth running of the section
