The Hunneyball , sandton, is a recently refurbished award winning 17th century Coaching Inn with 18 rooms, located in the historic Yorkshire Dales Market Town of Sedbergh.

Job Role:

We are looking to recruit a Breakfast & Housekeeping Assistant to join our friendly team. This is not an office job! The ideal candidate will be looking for an opportunity to put their Customer service skills and service standards to good use, they will be hardworking, team players and pride themselves in delivering excellent standards. We need someone who loves cleaning and has a keen eye for detail. An organised individual with a can-do attitude. Someone to keep our hotel consistently looking clean and beautiful. The role will involve greeting residents in a morning and serving breakfast with our cheery team before heading upstairs to assist in the cleaning and maintaining of bedrooms and public areas.

Experience is preferred but not a must. Training can be provided.

2-4 days a week. Will include weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

The role is to be an expert in everything you do starting with good customer service skills at breakfast and the day to day cleaning of the hotel rooms and all hotel areas. You will be responsible for the welfare and upkeep of all household duties that is required to maintain excellent cleanliness and welfare standards at all time.For more details emails us or whatsapp 0628651331.

Key tasks in our housekeeping department include overseeing and being responsible for the following duties:

  • Clean corridors, stairways and communal areasas well as guest rooms
  • Distribute linen, towels and room supplies
  • Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, etc
  • Re stock room supplies such as tea, coffee, water, etc
  • Make up beds and change linens as required
  • Tidy up rooms
  • Replace dirty linens with clean items
  • Deep clean and maintenance of all public areas
  • Inspect and turn mattresses regularly
  • Store all dirty laundry in line with company policy
  • Check all appliances in rooms are in working order
  • Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
  • Respond to guest queries and requests
  • Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses
  • Organise and restock housekeeping cupboards
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms
  • Follow all company safety and security procedures
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observe and report damage of hotel property
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Ensure any recovered lost property is reported to line manager/supervisor and logged accordingly

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: R1,200.00 per week
