Lifting Machinery Inspector


Job Outline

Perform Inspection and Testing of Lifting Equipment at client sites all over RSA.

Duties and Responsibilities

· To be knowledgeable of Culmen’s Inspection and Testing Procedure and provide tailor specific services to clients strictly according to your qualification level.

· Follow Client’s Inspection and Test Procedures at all times and safety/ operational standards

· Build and maintain client relations

· Forward reports to clients and ensure clients understands the reports

· Follow through with Invoicing and payment process without complications

· Maintain Job’s proper document trail

· Provide Safe, Professional and Impartial attention to client’s needs

· Prepare weekly and monthly reports as agreed upon with the Managing Member

· Ensure efficient time management on jobs allocated to you according to company standards

· Ensure efficient Inventory Management within company budgets on assets allocated to you.

· Provide support to the Technical Team (Pressure- and Load Testing) when required/ agreed with Management

· Offer Training and Supervision to Junior Technicians and Technical Assistants

· Provide Inspection and Testing of but not limited to:

– Mobile Work Elevating Platforms

– Specialised Equipment

– Mobile and Overhead, Jib, Tower cranes

– Variable Reach trackers

– Suspended Access Equipment

– Monorail Beams

– Lift Trucks and Tail lists

– Vehicle hoists

– Hydraulic/ Mechanical Jacks

– Lifting Tackle and Chain Blocks

· KBK Systems Operator Training: Basic Rigging

· Any other work as allocated to you by your manager.



· Matric (Senior Certificate),

· Driver’s License

· Registered as LMI with ECSA with a valid Certificate that includes above mentioned scope

· 5+ years relevant experience

· Computer Literacy

· Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)

· Willing to work of site sometimes for weeks on end

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R30,000.00 – R45,000.00 per month
