Duties & Responsibilities

The incumbent will inter alia be responsible for the following: Administration and Document Control • Ensure correctness of purchase requisition materials/services item description • Scan and link all relevant (hard and soft) documentation into master data (material, service and vendor masters) • File hard copies (B670 forms) according to relevant procedures Compliance, Governance and Assurance • Ensure all Codification Information and reporting has integrity and is in strict compliance with proper accounting principles and law • Governance: Ensure function adheres to Company governance, policies, standards, statutory and legal compliance. Entrench a culture of discipline Functional Excellence • Adhere to functional policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, end to end processes, tools, templates etc. • Assist in standardising, simplifying and speeding-up functional processes, eliminating duplication/bureaucracy • Apply functional best practices, promote sharing of best practices/knowledge • Assist in the execution of functional excellence initiatives Internal Business Processes • Identify conflicting specs and duplications in material/service masters and ensure corrective actions are taken • Implement Information Management (IM) technology and infrastructure to support Supply Chain Management (SCM) Codification process • Identify service performance improvement opportunities Master Data Management • Ensure creation of material and services master data • Maintain existing material and services master data • Identify duplications in material and service masters and ensure corrective actions are taken to address duplication People Management • Performance management: Adhere to performance management procedures • Culture/functional climate: Uphold the Company culture and values within the function. Foster effective teamwork and unity Safe and Healthy Work Environment • Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies procedures in line with set standards • Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations Specialised Support • Enable spend visibility through summation of transactional volume • Enable accurate purchasing of items through comprehensive purchasing descriptions • Enhance end-user ability to locate items in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) • Search in the technical libraries for information • Perform material classification and identification regarding green procurement principles physically in the warehouse Systems Infrastructure and Enablement • Participate in implementation of information management technology and infrastructure support SCM Codification services • Identify and resolve escalated problems, participate in development of solutions towards optimizing applicable processes/systems Technical Support • Do item identification • Identify damaged/redundant materials to be written off • Identification of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) spares • Change material type on SAP and Pilog systems • Loading of minimum/maximum levels in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) module SAP according to NIR/B670 • Opening of LLAG and RLAG numbers (Reconditioning Process) in SAP • Handle the Hazardous Chemicals (HAZCHEM) process Behavioural Alignment Demonstrates the following: • Creativity, collaboration, sociable and awareness to the ecosystem • Stewardship, accountability, ability to develop trust, safety conscious and ethical • Ability to respond quickly to business needs/agility, flexibility, continuous learning, innovation and proven ability to experiment on creative business solutions • Ability to be inclusive, eagerness for multiple skills, embraces multiple cultures, accepts different approaches and be human-centric/empathetic • Results oriented, quality driven, excellence, entrepreneurial abilities, efficient and effective The appointment will be made in accordance with Exxaro’s Employment Equity policy.
