Butchery Manager – Parys

Introduction

Our client requires the services of a Butchery Manager to manage the meat market in compliance with quality and production standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key performance areas:

  • Perform people management functions in the Meat Markets
  • Ensure client satisfaction of all Meat Market customers
  • Ensure product and stock availability through effective planning
  • Take responsibility for all quality control activities in the Meat Markets
  • Perform stock management functions within Meat Markets
  • Manage all hygiene and safety activities of the Meat Markets
  • Conduct various adhoc responsibilities to assist the Team

Desired Experience & Qualification

The successful candidate must have:

  • Must have matric or a NQF 4 qualification
  • A Blockman NQF 3 qualification will be advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years management experience within the Meat industry
  • Basic knowledge of first aid will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of meat cuts/ products
  • Knowledge of meat market operations & hygiene and safety standards
  • Operation of meat market equipment (i.e. scale, cling-wrap machine, mixer, filler)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Must have excellent numerical/financial skills
  • Delivering results and meeting customers expectations
  • Following instructions and procedures
  • Coping with pressures and setbacks
  • Problem solving skills
